What are the ethics of photography when everyone is a photographer?
ABC Ballarat – Australian Broadcasting Corporation
By Jarrod Watt (Multiplatform editor, Victoria)This Thursday, August 25, ABC Ballarat presents a special Ballarat Foto Biennale forum with four world-reknowned photographers to discuss the vexing question of ethics in photography in a world of camera-phones, Facebook, TwitPic and PhotoShop. Veteran photographer Jeremy Bannister gives this preview of what kinds of moral and ethical issues need to be dealt with when you’re recording history through the lens.

Honduras: Tuesday, July 7, 2009
Posted by WorldFocus.org, Tuesday, July 7, 2009
In Washington on Tuesday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with the deposed president of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya. She announced that the president of Costa Rica will serve as a mediator in the Honduran political crisis, adding that both Zelaya and the man who replaced him, Roberto Micheletti, had agreed to the mediation. Clinton also called on all parties to refrain from further violence.
Christopher Sabatini, the senior director of policy at the Council of the Americas, joins Martin Savidge to discuss the political situation in Honduras and the role of the U.S

We Get By With a Little Help From Our Friends
Thanks to our wonderful support system, Backpod has been able to accomplish the biggest feat for us to date – completing our inaugural trip to the country of Honduras! Our support has revealed itself in all sizes, from packages big to small and through donations made by individuals to major companies.
We want to give a very warm “THANK YOU” to all of you who have been there for us. You helped make this project come to life as we begin posting videopods!
ADVENTURE MEDICAL KITS is a company who has dedicated itself to allowing everyone safe enjoyment of the outdoors. They recently created a safety kit focused on international travel – and they allowed Team Backpod to test it out during the expedition in Honduras. They provided us with all sorts of medical supplies and gear for travel – and believe me these supplies became quite useful.

See what type of encounter Backpod had with these rambunctious kids!
Backpod would also like to once again show our gratitude to those individuals who have helped by recognizing our HONDURAS HELPERS. Check out our HONDURAS HELPERS, and learn how you can become one! They have stepped up to help – we love our HONDURAS HELPERS! http://www.backpod.org/HH%20Supporters.htmlMUCHAS GRACIAS

We Came, We Saw, We Accomplished!
Our inaugural trip to Honduras, lasting 20 days, was a huge success. We were able to explore both city sites and countryside while staying with our partner Global Brigades. On our agenda was to get involved, observe, and partake in three different brigades during the adventure: medical, business and water.

Before we go on about the trip, we would like to take a moment to apologize for not updating the Backpod website during our journey. When you travel, you have to be prepared for the unexpected. Internet connection was very slow and after a serious rainfall one weekend, we were left without electricity.
In the next few weeks, we are planning on posting the podcast from our trips, essays on the situation in Honduras, and our personal views and experiences.
